History: Sector-1 has been established in Dhaka after establishment of Transport Audit Directorate.
Functional areas: Ministry of Railways, Office of Bangladesh Railways and its subordinate offices, Office of the Additional Director General (Finance), Bangladesh Railways and all subordinate offices, all development projects under the ministry.
Address: Transport Audit Directorate, 10th Floor, Audit Complex, Segunbagicha, Dhaka-1000.
Activities:
- Audit planning, Audit team formation, Audit supervision, Audit briefing etc of all auditable units. Relevant follow up after audit, QAC-1, broadsheet reply, issuing general and advance para, sending draft reports to report sector.
- Participation in bi-party/ tri-party meetings.
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual report and sending to concerned sector/section.
- Performing administrative activities and other responsibilities imposed by higher authority
